According to latest Rightmove figures asking prices are the highest they have ever been but the number of sales are down 5% compared to last year.
So if the market is slowing down do you know what your agent is doing to market your house. Have they just uploaded the details to the internet and sit waiting for the phone to ring or are they being proactive in their attempts to find you a buyer.
It is so important to make sure your agent is on top of their marketing plan for your property. You are most likely to get your full asking price within the first thirty days of marketing, therefore, if you have not sold within this time frame it is time to review the marketing with your agent. If your agent is proactive they will have already reviewed the marketing with you and implemented any changes.
If your agent has not undertaken a review it is time for you to get in touch with them and review what efforts they have made up until now and what changes need to be made to secure you that all important buyer. This review should be done in person either at your property or in their office and arranged with at least 24 hours notice.
If you would like an independent review of your property marketing then please contact us and we will be happy to discuss this with you.
